Braids

 

My first attempt at braids was successful, to my surprise. The hair I used was very cheap, because I wasn't sure how it would come out. Next time I will get a better grade of hair. The synthetic hair really irritated me and refused to hold a curl or wave when dipped in boiling water. So I resorted to wearing buns most of the time and then dressing them up with my favorite flower, Orchids. I took my braids out on Monday I had to wash my hair. Yes I know you can wash your hair when you have braids but the hair I purchased does not dry very fast and it has been very cold and rainy. I did not want to get sick. Plus I missed my hair. The braids shall return though :) Here are some pictures. I will do a tutorial on braiding. Life has been a little busy. You will see shortly what I have been diligently working on.

Challenge Results

The goal was to reach 700 Views in the month of March. If we reached that goal then the Soiree Inspiration Board of 2011 would be revealed in addition other secret plans. So did we make it?

We reached a Peak of - 638.

So unfortunately we missed hitting the mark by 62 views. :( maybe next time.

Hair Rant

Good Morning!

As you know I tried something new! I braided my hair for the first time! The results are pretty good...shockingly. I still need some practice but I'm proud of my little box braids. Crazy thing is I'm ready to take them out I'm craving for my curly hair. I really want Big Teyana Taylor Hair :D. I will be posting pictures of my braids and a tutorial hopefully it will be easy to understand. I may even try a video :) we shall see.

Vitamin Shoppe has seriously become my go to hair store. I finally have all of my ingredients for the Kimmay Tube leave in conditioner. For the recipe you need Kinky Curly Knot Today, Jojoba Oil, Aloe Vera Juice, and Castor Oil. I have not been able to find a large bottle of jojoba oil yet. I refuse to buy that tiny bottle so I will be substituting Olive Oil for Jojoba Oil.

Our 700 View Challenge is coming to end soon Thursday is the last day. We are ALMOST THERE!!! VIEW VIEW VIEW!!!!!

Of course when my hair is in braids I have an OVERFLOW of hair products at my fingertips but can do nothing with them. As you know I will not be doing reviews, we are focusing on Natural Ingredients. I will continue to try new products and post pictures of how my hair reacted to the product.

Tables that keep you grounded

Lotushaus the use of color and prints is perfect. These tables got me thinking that all

you need is coffee tables with a couple of pillows and

 She Moves the Furniture has a very simple way of using the same color

pallet but different patterns to tie everything together.

 Musings of a Night Owl  love the modern feel. I really want those seats & the tables. 

A Little Polka Dot this is so cute. Table clothes are a simple way to transform your table. This table is a perfect setting for 6 people. I also like how they made the canopy to tie in with the atmosphere.
